Metrobus services disrupted, commuters unsettled

JOHANNESBURG – Johannesburg bus service, Metrobus, has been crippled by strike action on Thursday.
The service says this is due to a wildcat strike by several employees. 
It’s understood their action started on the afternoon shift on Wednesday.
Metrobus says the strike is expected to affect all routes. 
They’ve also opted to close Metrobus ticket sales outlets due to recommendations of a security threat analysis. 
However, South African Municipal Workers Union members on the ground say there is no strike action but rather an appeal to have the driver grievances addressed by employers.
 
 
A notice was shared on social media to inform commuters of the service disruption.
Some users were far from understanding, unloading some of their frustrations.
This is absolutely pathetic. Public is reliant on transport. People filled tags on month end now everyone is stranded. Get your act together!!!!
What about us who bought monthly trips?
Is only fair not to tag for the days we using taxis guys, just loaded 44 trips, now to pay cash again for unplanned strike. This so selfish of the drivers. To strike is allowed but notify commuters.
on the first of the month you guys pull this stunt. all these years and still no back up plan. your drivers have no consideration for us. every year strike at crucial times. God man.
we pay.its not like commuters have a choice.
